Therefore, keeping that in mind, I swatched the paint color along with the different colors that I thought would fit well with Behr Ice Drop color scheme. To my surprise, these pairings did not disappoint me, and here are the results that I found that we will discuss in this section.
Behr Rainy Afternoon
Behr Rainy Afternoon (N430-4) is a color that Behr describes as a quiet day indoors watching a storm pass. The color’s LRV is 30, which is a lot less than Ice Drop’s.
The color has a cool blue-green undertone, which means that both colors now share the same cool blue-green undertone family; that depth never feels like a contrast but a well-curated coordination.
This is why the color combination feels seamless as well as something that sits right for each other.
Now, how do you coordinate it? Well, my suggestion is to paint the main walls or cabinetry in the color to give the room some depth and then use Ice Drop on the trim, ceiling, closet interiors, or an adjoining hallway or room. This combination works well in bedrooms, bathrooms, or a reading nook.
Behr Black Suede
Let’s first take a quick look at what kind of color Behr Black Suede is before I tell you how to coordinate it with Behr Ice Drop. See, Black Suede (S-H-790) is a near-black neutral color that appears as a deep and flat black color.
The color has an LRV of 3, which means that the color is incredibly dark as compared to Ice Drop. However, at the same time, its undertones are the same as those of Behr Ice Drop.
Now, both these colors’ undertones are the same; that is, a cool blue-green family, so the two colors are actually coordinated at the undertone level even while being on opposite sides of each other.
You can use Black Suede on areas like the front door, a kitchen island, a shelf, a fireplace, or one accent wall, and then in the same room, use Ice Drop on the walls, ceiling, or trims around it.
Behr Tropical Sea
Behr Tropical Sea (HDC-MD-22) is a unique color which Behr describes as “a vibrant, mid-turquoise shade with the slightest tinge of sunny yellow!” The color has an LRV of around 29, which is again way less than Ice Drop and is comparatively a darker color than the other. Both these colors come from the same blue-green family, which is why both these colors don’t clash.
