Hello and welcome to SimpleHomeLiving! I’m Silvana, founder of SimpleHomeLiving and a full time interior designer that’s based in New York.
You may wonder how this whole place was started, well, you can say that I always had a thing for transforming homes into some warm, functional, and stylish spaces. When I was a kid, I always had an interest in DIY stuff and all. I used to see my mom decorate our home. And she was really good at it! She made me a DIY pen holder from an extra glass jar. It was truly beautiful and whenever I looked at it, it reminded me how much effort and love she put into it while creating it.
And this is just one thing, she also created photo frames from the ice cream sticks and they looked soo adorable. So yeah, when I saw her work so hard and passionately to make our home look beautiful, I realised I wanted to be like her!
This is what pushed me to become an interior designer so I can bring life to those spaces and make them feel like part of a lived-in home. When I started SimpleHomeLiving, I only had one thought and that was to share what I know and help people enhance their homes.
